About JT’s DELi
When I adopted a vegan diet in 2012, I came across a vegan “parmesan” sprinkle that tasted pretty good. The main component of this product was nutritional yeast. I knew I could make an even better vegan cheese blend, which is what inspired me to formulate my own recipe. I experimented with adding different combinations of nuts, seeds and spices to the nutritional yeast until I came up with the perfect blend. JT’s Gourmet Nutritional Yeast Seasoning is now the foundation for all of my plant-powered deli products.
At that time, my 7-year-old granddaughter, Amarie, began helping me in the kitchen. When my recipe was finalized, she would ask to eat my seasoning blend by the spoonful. It’s that good! And by the age of 3, my other granddaughter, Anorra, began requesting it by the spoonful, as well. Ever since then, Anorra begs me to make her my chick (free) salad every time she stays with me. Almost 10 years later, Amarie continues to request the seasoning, and many of my plant-powered deli products, when I come to visit.
Of my four amazing grandchildren, Amarie and Anorra gave me the inspiration and confidence to offer my products to the public. Given many children are picky eaters, for these two girls at very young ages to eat the seasoning by itself and devour my seasoned deli products, is a testament to just how truly tasty my products really are. Bonus? They are all nutritionally charged.
